The Burning Flames just won the Antiguan roadmarch title with “The harder dey come” and now it seems that the band has come to its end: The Antigua Sun and other papers reported that the band’s musical mastermind Oungku is preparing to quit. The Burning Flames is one of the oldest soca bands in the business.

I think that Oungku needs to stop and really think about what he’s doing.. First Onyan left … Know he goes and does this … What do the other band members think about what he’s doing ? The last I checked Burning Flames was a group not a single person….
hey we like flames we just got to have ounkug in de band & we good to go
As an ANTIGUAN born it hurt to see our most popular band THE BURNING FLAMES,come to and end. i hope some day they may come to some agreement to make they’re fans happy once more. The crab in a barrel need to stop.
all god things must come to an end, no man is an island nothing lasts forever. I’m just thankful they lasted as long as they did so we could be graced with their cotributions to carnival annually. As for the break-up, they’re all grown men, in every business there are hickups,
the name burning lames has really outgrown it’s members, but it has left a mark embeded in our hearts nd minds, even with the introduction on onika, the band has proven it’s vesatility and ability to function with members other than family members, it was a great ride, i only hope the fans bought all the albums, long live the master and the burning flames, blood thicker than water, ah yuh no get in jack!
After all is said and done Burning Flames is not done for.
Flames (like all great things) will reamerge better than ever.. so everyone who’s a fan, just know that the music you’ve grown to love and follow has not died.. like i said before and i’ll say it again ….BURNING FLAMES IS AND WAS NEVER ONE MAN …
just waitin’ to see what both bands will produce for carnival 2006…my bet is on onyan and krokuss to outdo oungku
Hello! Help solve the problem.

Regrettably use of remembering. Give like to be?
Thank you!
I am from ST.Thomas, and I always love Burning flames music. It is totally diffrent in every way. It is a sad thing to see that a band that has come so far , been there so long, just fluster in the air. I belive it is something deeper than what we fans can see, I belive the Supa Soca himself has a plan we goin like.
A fantastic site, and brilliant effort. A great piece of work.
